The New Princess

On Saturday, Ross and I went to see the new movie Tangled. It was pretty spectacular. I did feel that there was too much singing, though. The songs were fun, but too much of it indeed. Ross and I both wish that chameleons were really like Pascal, because if they were we would totally get one. Alas, it cannot be.So now Disney has a new princess, Rapunzel. A lovely princess with 70 feet of hair. I wonder how much shampoo it takes her to wash it? Probably a lot. It sure is pretty blonde hair though. I really miss having blonde hair. I would dye it again, but I'm growing out my hair to cut it off and sell it. And that can't be done if it isn't the natural color. Poo.
Well, that's all I've got for today, hopefully I can have something exciting happen in my life soon so I can make an awesome sauce post. :)

A Real Adult

My birthday was this past Monday. So now I am 21 years old! That means that I am a real adult. Ross and I are probably going to a bar, the Owl, this Saturday to get hamburgers. I've heard their burgers are fantastic. :)
Ross got me some great movies for my birthday: A Bug's Life and Sherlock Holmes. I'm really excited to watch them.
Also, the poll on the side of my blog has ended. The verdict is that Hermione Granger is the best character from Harry Potter, hence the picture. Woot! I'll probably do another poll in the near future.

The Beyonders

Many of you know that my favorite books are those of the Fablehaven series. The author, Brandon Mull, is pretty much an amazing writer. Now that he finished the Fablehaven story, he's been working on another new series: The Beyonders. The first book of this series comes out on March 15! I am really excited. I think I'm gonna have to get it. I really hope that this book is as good as the Fablehaven ones, because I freaking love those.

My Birthday

My family spent the last week in Solvang, California which was totally fun. But since I am lame, I am not going to talk much about it because I just don't feel like it. I feel like making a birthday list! My birthday is in two weeks and it is important to let people know what I want so that I can get lots of presents. :) Mostly all I want are DVDs to expand the collection Ross and I have going, but there is one other specific thing....
I want a Blue Nintendo DS i XL! I've wanted one for a while. As Ross said in December of 2009, "By this time next year, you won't even want one anymore." Sadly, I want one even more.
I also want the outstanding Disney/Pixar film Cars. This movie is hilarious and awesome, enough said.
Another great movie that I want is Sherlock Holmes. Fantastic movie with excellent music by Hans Zimmer, one of my favorite composers.
One of my all-time-favorite movies must be on my list! Alas, Ross does not like the movie Enchanted, I think if is freaking hilarious! And spectacular, and enchanted. :)
The next movie on the list is a fantastical one. When I saw Avatar in theaters, holy cow, I couldn't get over how amazing it was! Definitely one that I must own.
Another Disney/Pixar movie, A Bug's Life. I love this movie! It is one that I've wanted to own for a really long time, but haven't gotten around to getting it I guess.
Titanic, this movie is amazing. I don't know that I've ever cried this hard in a movie that wasn't Charly. It is a spectacular film.
Last, but absolutely not least, Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl. I only really want the first movie of the trilogy, I wasn't a big fan of the second or third... And I'm upset they are making a fourth...
Well, that is my birthday list! I hope you all have a great January and can do well with your resolutions and such. :)

Today I found out that my brother-in-law, Jason, and his wife, Shalee, have learned the gender of their little fetus. :) It's a boy! I'm excited to have another little nephew. :) He's gonna be such a cutie! He'll have his big brother, Eli, and little Elsie to pick on him. I'm super duper excited!!!

Mouse in my House

Well, technically it is a mouse in my apartment. I came home from running errands today, sat down on the couch and got on Facebook. All was hunky dory. I heard a soft scratching sound, looked up, and there was this cute little mouse stiffing my snow boots over by the door. At first, I just watched it for a while, trying to think of what to do. I thought back to a lovely memory of when there was a mouse in my Merrill Hall apartment. I set down my computer and the mouse ran off and hid under the drawers Chuck's cage is on. Problematic? Yes.
I promptly called my father, the person I call when Ross is at work and I need a man's advice. My dad's advice was that when Ross gets home to tell him that I saw a mouse. He also told me that "if you see one mouse, there are ten more there." Thanks, Dad.
So I began to think about what to do about this mouse problem. There is the obvious option of a mouse trap, or two, or three. I don't want to ki
ll the poor little things, but as I told my dad, I don't want a mouse to get into Chuck's cage and bite him and give him rabies or something. So killing them might have to be the option, even though I don't want to.
But what if I can thing of another option? I should definitely consider getting a cat. :) A cute little kitten! The kitty could be a good mouser. It can hunt the little critters and then eat them. They still die, but I don't have to see the guts because the cat will eat them. Hopefully. But if it doesn't, and just kills the mice then leaves them around, that would be a problem. I'll have to ask Ross.

Harry Potter

So today Ross and I went with Sarah and Andrew to see the new Harry Potter movie. It was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!! I absolutely loved it! I was impressed with the acting in this one. The chemistry between Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint is great. They work well together as Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I really like that they are doing the movie in two parts. It helped because they were able to use a lot more from the books in the movie. The other movies I thought felt rushed from beginning to end. This one just worked out a lot better. There was time to explain things and expound on characters. It was great.
I would highly suggest seeing this movie!! Although, I do have to say that if you have children that don't know about the "birds and bees" that you probably don't want to bring them to this movie; unless you feel like answering a lot of questions later. Ross disagrees. He says kids won't care. Whatever.
Ross and I just finished a conversation about opinions. He's a great guy. Sometimes we have really different opinions on things. It is cool to be able to talk to him about those things. I'm really loving being married to him. He is fantastic! :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I am so freaking excited to go and see the 7th Harry Potter movie this upcoming Saturday! Ross, Sarah, and Andrew are all coming with and it is going to be AMAZING!!! I love going to see movies! I feel like I haven't been to see one in the longest time. And I really love the Harry Potter movies. They are cheesy, and a bit ridiculous, but I love them all the same. Sorry this post is so short, I'm just a little bored.
Oh, and also I have put up another poll. If you would vote for your favorite Harry Potter character, it would be awesome. Also, the poll ends on my birthday. :)

Bored at Home

So Ross picked up a full-time shift at work. Hooray! Now I don't have to be quite as worried about our meager finances. Ross is now eligible for health insurance through his work which is totally awesome! It is quite exciting. Ross is going to be needing the car all the time now so he can get from school to work in a flash, as well as to his flight lessons. Thus, I am now no longer working at Pizza Hut. So now I am just at home all day after school. It's been three days and I'm already bored. lame sauce. I try to keep myself entertained, but there is only so much you can do when you are home by yourself with no one but your guinea pig. I really wish I had my Sparky dog here with me. Yes, that would be great. :) So here I am, at home all by myself, blogging about my boredom. Woot.
