Today I found out that my brother-in-law, Jason, and his wife, Shalee, have learned the gender of their little fetus. :) It's a boy! I'm excited to have another little nephew. :) He's gonna be such a cutie! He'll have his big brother, Eli, and little Elsie to pick on him. I'm super duper excited!!!

Mouse in my House
Well, technically it is a mouse in my apartment. I came home from running errands today, sat down on the couch and got on Facebook. All was hunky dory. I heard a soft scratching sound, looked up, and there was this cute little mouse stiffing my snow boots over by the door. At first, I just watched it for a while, trying to think of what to do. I thought back to a lovely memory of when there was a mouse in my Merrill Hall apartment. I set down my computer and the mouse ran off and hid under the drawers Chuck's cage is on. Problematic? Yes.
I promptly called my father, the person I call when Ross is at work and I need a man's advice. My dad's advice was that when Ross gets home to tell him that I saw a mouse. He also told me that "if you see one mouse, there are ten more there." Thanks, Dad.
So I began to think about what to do about this mouse problem. There is the obvious option of a mouse trap, or two, or three. I don't want to ki
ll the poor little things, but as I told my dad, I don't want a mouse to get into Chuck's cage and bite him and give him rabies or something. So killing them might have to be the option, even though I don't want to.
But what if I can thing of another option? I should definitely consider getting a cat. :) A cute little kitten! The kitty could be a good mouser. It can hunt the little critters and then eat them. They still die, but I don't have to see the guts because the cat will eat them. Hopefully. But if it doesn't, and just kills the mice then leaves them around, that would be a problem. I'll have to ask Ross.
