My Hair

A year a go my hair was down to the middle of my back. Then, in April, I got it all chopped of pretty short. But then I got it even shorter a few months after that. There are things that I like about long hair. There are things that I like about short hair. There are things I hate about long hair. And there are things I hate about short hair. What is a girl to do?
My hair is currently in need of either another cut or a trim to make it look more feminine. It is shaggy and frankly I think I look like a teenage boy a lot of the time. So I have to take a lot of time to make it look nice, which is something I hate doing. My short hair was nice because it hardly took any time to do. But with long hair, I had more options of how to style it, and if I didn't have time, I could always do a ponytail.
One thing I really miss about having short hair is that I can't twirl it around my fingers. Anyone who knows me knows that this is something I have done all my life. It is relaxing. Quite a stress-reliever for me. And I haven't been able to do it for almost a year. Bummer. But short hair is also very nice because it is up and out of the way. Harumph.
So I suppose it is time for a poll. Here are the different lengths of my hair. You may vote for one or two lengths that I've had it. Please don't vote for more than that, Andrew.

LONG/NO BANGS
This is me with long hair. It went a pit past my shoulder blades. No bangs.

SHOULDER/NO BANGS
Shortly after giving birth! My hair was shoulder length, layered a bit on the ends. Again, no bangs.

LONG/BANGS
This was me one week before my wedding day! I sure was a hottie. This is me with my long-ish hair, again a bit past my shoulder blades in back, and with bangs.

SHORT/BANGS
This was the first time I got my hair so short. I guess I sort of had bangs there. I had to straiten it or it would look ridiculous.

VERY SHORT
Even shorter hair here. I liked that I could put it in a mohawk. That was pretty fun.

SUPER SHORT
This was the shortest my  hair had been since birth! I could spike it, which was fun.

And yes, the poll has them out of order. I couldn't get the pictures to move around into the order I wanted them. Also, not pictured but available would be shoulder length hair WITH bangs. Which I didn't have a picture of, but could be fun.

Preparing for Four

Tomorrow, I am going to my OB/GYN to have my IUD removed. Good-bye birth control. Ross and I are feeling ready to get pregnant again. And this is terrifying. And also exciting.

Here are some things that scare me about getting pregnant again:
1. I was throwing up at least 5 times a day for over half of my pregnancy with Nigel. Don't want to go through that again.
2. I have an energetic toddler and may not have the energy to chase him around all day.
3. Gaining weight. I have lost almost all of my pregnancy weight from Nigel, not excited to get it back.
4. Labor and delivery. I thought I was dying. I only survived because of that epidural. I'm really scared for that again.

Reasons I am excited to get pregnant again:
1. I love being a mom! I want another child to love and care for.
2. Nigel will have a little sibling to play and interact with. I enjoy watching him with other babies in the ward, it's so cute!
3. It's totally weird, but I loved feeling Nigel move inside of me. Not when he was kicking me in the ribs, but just knowing that I had created a little life and that I was protecting it... It is so incredible. Can't wait to feel that again.
4. I want to hold another infant in my arms and know that he/she is mine to love and care for.
5. I know that I am meant to have more children. I am so blessed to have Nigel in my life, and I know that I am going to be blessed with more kids.
6. I LOVE to talk about baby names. And we had a name picked out for Nigel since we first got married, but right now we have no names in mind for the next baby. So it will be fun to pick out a name.
7. I feel ready to have another baby.

It felt good to write those down. I had been thinking of all the things that scare me, but writing them out and seeing that there are more good things than bad, that makes me happy. Go me!

My Birthday List

So last year I did a list of things I wanted for my birthday, and relatives enjoyed that because then they knew what to get me. Go figure. So  here is my birthday list for this year. Woo hoo!

I want a blue wig for my Cosplay in April! Crazy, yes. Ross said: "Wouldn't it just be easier to dye your hair?" And I said, "Yes, but I would only want bright blue hair for a day or two, not for forever. Also, my hair won't be long enough by April." So yes, I am asking for a wig for my birthday. Here is a link to the wig that I want, 70 cm in length:

As I always, I would love an iTunes gift card. They are wonderful. There is always music that I want so these are always good. And I probably look like the people on the gift cards when I rock out to music, which is fun.
One of my all time favorite books of all time is East by Edith Pattou. And, sadly, I do not own this book. So this would be a good birthday present.
A winter coat! The only winter coat I have is my Mountain Crest one. And I feel a small amount of hurt when I put it on. It has lessened with time, but I think I need a new coat. I would like a zeroXposur brand because that brand is fantastic and warm and cozy. I would need a Women's Small. And my favorite colors are blue, pink, and green.

I would also like a nice Sunday coat, because I only have my winter coat, not like a nice overcoat to wear to church. And one of those would be great. Again, Women's small. And I like gray for this kind of coat. Here is an example of what I'm thinking of, only not blue.
And for anyone with my email address, you can look up my Wish List on Amazon.com to find a lot of movies and books that I want as well as collectible Pokemon figurines.
Happy Birthday to me!
